Choosing The Right Soccer Goals
When playing soccer, an essential part of the game is
the soccer goal. There are 3 things to consider when choosing a soccer
goal, the age of the player, the space you have to play in and the type
of soccer game being played. Soccer goals are constructed with two basic
materials, metal or PVC pipe.
Metal goals are used as a permanent structure on a field with the
intention of them not being moved. PVC goals are made of PVC pipe and
are light weight and portable. PVC goals are mainly for practice and
small area applications.

One other part of the goal is the net. This keeps the ball from flying
50 yards away in the advent a goal is scored. These nets are made out of
either knotted cotton or nylon cord. Nets are connected both to the
cross bar and to the ground to keep the ball in place after a goal.
Soccer Goals are a standard 8 feet high and 24 feet across. Some come
with extensions from the top of the cross bar back to hold the net
better. This is all in personal preference of the league or organization
a team plays in.
